This year's exhibition at the local village fĂȘte reminded us of the centrality of the Bible to the Christian faith. On loan from the Trinitarian Bible Society (TBS) was a timeline of the English Bible which formed the focus of the display. Commissioned by the TBS, the timeline outlines how the Bible has been passed down to us over the past 2000 years. Every part of society has been affected in one way or another by the influence of the Bible, and the various posters were used to build on this theme. These posters reflected the Bible's influence on people, language, culture and science. The story of Mary Jones and her 50 mile walk through the mountains of Wales formed one of these. Her desire and longing to read and possess a copy of the Bible for herself challenges us to examine our own relationship with the Word of God and with Jesus Christ the Son of God.
